The event was attended by Keystone's staff, patients, and numerous state dignitaries including State Sen. David Farnsworth, State Rep. Justin Pierce, Mesa Chamber of Commerce President Sally Harrison, President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians Dr. Mike Cronin, and Dr. Paul Mittman, President and CEO of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Rep. Salmon testified of his own experience with natural medicines and healthier eating habits. 5 years earlier he was 80 lbs heavier, but has since cut out processed sugars and a fast-food menu. The slimmer Salmon is a strong proponent of patients having as many natural healthcare options as possible as well as having the freedom to chose their own insurance plans without government interference.
A decorative plaque of appreciation was presented to Rep. Salmon by Dr. Bishop honoring the congressman's work to promote naturopathic family medicine.
