I use Weebly because it is by far the easiest website builder I've ever used and offers a huge assortment of website templates, design options and multimedia features. Let me also add this: Weebly and I get along – and that's important. I've used DreamWeaver which offers a free steep learning curve, and I've also tried WordPress. I know some people swear by WordPress, but it never clicked with me. It's a lot like computers; you're either a PC or a Mac user. Each one has it's pro's and con's. A website builder either works for you or it doesn't.
I strongly suggest you find a website building program you click with and stick with it. There's plenty of them out there so give them all a try, just don't overlook Weebly.
Building a website is only the beginning; a successful website requires ongoing maintenance. And if a program is a chore to work with then your whole website experience will be a drag. - Weebly is an online program. There's nothing to download so you're not restricted to a certain computer to access your website. You can update your site from any computer with an internet connection.
- Weebly is BOTH a blog and website builder. Most of my websites incorporate blogs in them. Weebly offers a FREE basic account or a Pro Account. Some people may only want a super simple website or blog. If you don't need your own unique .com domain, then just create a sub-domain under Weebly. Then the whole thing is free and you can have up to 2 websites.
- With a Pro Account, you can have up to 10 websites and all the features, including stats to track visitors to your website.
